At about 13:45 the single bird flew to sea and started feeding. The best time to look for this bird tomorrow is likely to be about the same time of day.

The bird was present again at 2.15 pm when, as it had done several times during the morning, Steve Davidson saw it fly from the beach to feed offshore. Thanks Mike Carter, per birding-aus.

The bird was present again from 15.30 - 16.15. Thanks, Michael Brasher.

The tern was not present from 5:30pm (or it seems, Thursday at around the same time). Thanks Paul Dodd, Ruth and Alan Crawford, per birding-aus.

Arctic Tern still present early am
The Arctic Tern was reported as still present at 08:15 this morning, though some doubt has been expressed as to whether the bird seen this morning was actually a Common Tern. Paul Dodd, per birding-aus. Note, there is considerable activity on the beach at the weekend, causing considerable disturbance to all the roosting terns.
